WAKEY WAKEY

SILVER WASHED FRITILLARYRHODODENDRONGIANT HIMALAYAN LILYSTUPID BOYMAIN HOUSEMILLENIUM SEED BANK
Monday found us at Wakehurst Place,  the home of Kew gardens millenium seed bank, where seeds from all over the world are collected and a National Trust house and garden. The gardens have a global feel with a Himalayan glade , a southern hemisphere garden and an asian heath garden as well as a bog garden and water gardens.Wildlife is also encouraged with plenty of woodland and wild flower meadows.Nuthatches and great spotted woodpeckers were seen a Silver Washed Fritillary eventually rested within photo range and a pike was found idling in the warm sunshine. The rhododendrons were past their best but plenty to see so well worth a visit.
