OCTOVER

A very wet month has meant limited birding for me,but have managed a few outings in between the showers.
ANOTHER WHEATEAR

ON THE BEACH AT SAMPHIRE HOE.-

GOLDCREST RIP Unfortunately this tiny bird flew across the North Sea only to fly into the widows of the shelter at Samphire Hoe.

BLACK REDSTART the ringed adult male.

not quite clear enough to read the number.

-

A SECOND ADULT MALE -UNRINGED.

-

I didn`t see them together so would probably not have noticed the difference apart from the ring.

CORN BUNTING LANGDON HOLE.

-

JUVENILE SABINES GULL AT DUNGENESS

This was a first for me in the UK

Only a few are seen on passage migration each year usually in the autumn when storm blown towards the coast.

This bird lingered at the point for a couple of days.
