More butterfly pics from Hamstreet woods on friday,the day was really hot,over 30c in my garden,we were lucky enough to see lots of white admirals,a purple hairstreak and a silver washed fritillary,as well as many more common species.Being so hot many of the butterflies were very active and restless,we found it difficult to pin down the small and essex skippers,with dark antennae tips and orange antennae tips not easy to see,but it was fun trying.
