FROM RUSSIA WITH P LOVE R
After a rather soggy night Mr Mcvail was on the phone saying the White Tailed Plover was still on the ARC PITS at Dunge be ready in ten minutes.Barry Woolhouse was also on the trip and within minutes of arriving at the viewing screen there was the russian vagrant poking around the waters edge about 100 yds away.Too distant for any decent photos but here are some indecent ones. Also on the ARC at the other end were an adult Little Gull, a Ruff, three Common Sandpipers and several Ringed Plovers and Dunlin.A quick visit to Dengemarsh failed to produce the Great White Egret but Purple Heron showed briefly then rain stopped play for the day.
