JANUARY 2024

Another year and already January is over,

the days starting to get a bit longer and the promise of spring is in the air and I am off to Costa Rica for a couple of weeks.

Have done the usual round of East Kents birding hot spots to get the year list up and running,The Great Northern Diver has stayed in Dover Harbour along with 4 Razorbills for 10 weeks now.The Twite twins have also stayed faithful to Pegwell Bay and eventually a small flock of Waxwings showed up nearby as well as the confiding young drake Long Tailed Duck.JP found a lovely Iceland Gull at St Margarets Bay.

Here is a pictorial view of some of the highlights.
