SEPTEMBER SONG

September is almost over already, butterfly season coming to a close the autumn migration is also past its peak for summer departures with a mass evacuation of swallows and house martins a week ago with literally thousands of birds flooding out of the country quite a spectacle a mass brexit you could say. However October can be the best month for rareties so keep your eyes peeled, and your ears dewaxed,or in my case your batteries charged.
ROCK PIPIT numbers rise through the winter at Samphire Hoe when the resident birds are joined by continental visitors.
