DECEMBER 2023

A dreadful month weatherwise wet and windy throughout, brightened by the WAXWINGS arrival towards the middle of the month. The Great Northern Diver remained in the harbour all month but played hard to get at times. The Twite twins in Pegwell Bay could also be elusive.A VELVET SCOTER was in the harbour for a week or so and occasionally joined the Great Crested Grebes near the pier.A LESSER WHITE FRONTED GOOSE was reported at Oare and 26 WHITE FRONTED GEESE were found at the Reed Bed Hide Stodmarsh.
