LAKE NAKURU

Moving north from Tsavo to Lake Nakuru with an overnight stay in Nairobi and another stop for lunch gave us a few more birds.

At the park entrance there were more birds and eventually we arrived at Sopa Lodge high on the ridge overlooking the lake.Nakuru lies just south of the Equator and was the northernmost spot on this trip

Sopa Lodge was very well appointed with lovely rooms and good food.

We came upon these two lionesses resting after a nights hunting......

 -Eventually they got up, stretched as cats do and strolled very leisurely towards us.

All too soon our stay at Sopa Lodge was over and we headed out of the park south to Naivasha.
THE FRIDGE MAGNETS CAUGHT MY ATTENTION.

SLEEPY BABOON.This old boy got up and grabbed our attention,while distracted his mate jumped into the jeep through the open roof stole Doreens sweets and legged it out again sharpish,we had been mugged.Could have been nasty but luckily all was well.
