Butterflies coming ,birds going it must be August,the first wheatears of autumns return passage arrived at Samphire Hoe yesterday and half a dozen chiff chaffs were seen poking around in the buddleia bushes.Nearly a hundred painted ladies were counted on the transect and a single clouded yellow had made its passage across the channel and was feeding up on the rock sea lavender.
