MORE MOTHS

Things are warming up at last on the moth front,and it is now worth leaving the light on all night with a realistic hope of something good turning up.There have been some nice surprises recently,as well as the common species.
RUDDY CARPET,a scarce resident.

THE ELEPHANT HAWK MOTH is always a good find.
The name comes from the caterpillar which looks like it has a trunk.

GHOST MOTH( Female),the male is a ghostly white.

No not the witches from Macbeth but three moth eaten individuals at Samphire Hoe on tuesday evening  "DON`T GO NEAR THE LIGHT".
