The last few days of the holiday. Monday out with Peter Jones on a days birding was a bit disappointing in that we didn`t see too many birds that had not been seen already, only lesser kestrel(now have doubts) and right at the end above our own village a distant view of a bonellis eagle,oh and a southern grey shrike, also out of camera range. We did get to a good vantage point to see more vultures and in the the high peaks a flock of about 200 choughs were seen side by side with a female Ibex, another of which I spotted next to the bonellis eagle, with two calfs in tow above Montejacque.Tuesday walked a footpath above Grazaelma in warm sunshine where there were lots of butterflies on the wing.Wednesday our last day was a bit fraught as a text from home early told of a general strike in Spain,so it was a bit of a worry as to whether we`d get home on time.Anyway we spent the day in Malaga  around the seafront until it was time to go to the airport. Most flights were cancelled but some how ours was still scheduled and loading at Gatwick. We did not relax though until we were safely in the air,we arrived on time even though it was without Cathys suitcase,it turned up on Saturday morning intact thankfully, cos it had a bottle of rioja in it.
