SEPTEMBER 2024

 September, our summer visitors are leaving us for warmer climes,the winter residents are starting to arrive,butterflies are enjoying the last sunny days of autumn.

WHINCHAT -A close relative of the Stonechat is a summer visitor,several have been seen at Samphire Hoe this month.

BLACK REDSTARTS HAVE BRED SUCCESFULLY AGAIN AT THE HOE
WHEATEARS CAN APPEAR IN SMALL GROUPS AT THE HOE BEFORE CROSSING TO FRANCE AND ON TO AFRICA.
