AUGUST- FLY THEY MUST

It has taken a month or more to sort out my download problems,however I have been out and about with the camera, this may be my longest blog yet,but will then be up to date,here goes.

A note on the office door saying a wryneck had been seen on Monday afternoon near the back car park gave me hope that it might still be around,however it didn`t show first thing and it wasnt until midday when doing the butterfly transect that it flew up into the buddleia,had to nip back for my camera and luckily it was still sitting up nicely..........

 News of a BAIRDS SANDPIPER AT RECULVER came through on Friday and as it was still there on Saturday afternoon I went to see it,the last one in Kent was in 1988 at Dungeness,my last one was seen at Tierra del Fuego after the Antarctic trip.






























 LITTLE STINT was also there at Coldharbour Lagoon.









 The STINT is about half the size of the Dunlin in the background.
