MAY BEGONE

Another away day, this time to Surrey in search of the Wood White butterfly, was undertaken on Wednesday of last week with excellent results. As Nightingales sang from the undergrowth several of these delicate creatures were seen patrolling the woodland rides, sometimes pausing to feed from the flowers.A female was also seen egg laying.
