RED CREST, PINK FLOYD,GOLDEN EYE

Last Friday after an evening out with the Australian Pink Floyd at the Leas Cliff Hall I headed for Dungeness,still a few goldeneye around and the drake smew is still feeding in front of the Scott hide,and on the dipping pool the drake red crested pochard showed briefly in the open.

 TREE SPARROW Just noticed the blue leg ring,is this a local bird?
 GORSE looking bright against a clear blue sky.

STARLING MURMURATION
 LAPWINGS AND STARLINGS constantly disturbed by marsh harriers.

 RED CRESTED POCHARD
 Moving on to Sandwich Bay
 SANDERLING in the foam.

 FEEDING ON RAZORFISH

 A SMALL FLOCK OF 30 RINGED PLOVERS FLUSHED BY A DOG ON THE BEACH.
 Short Eared Owls have been hunting around Dicksons Corner late afternoon recently but this one didn`t come close enough for any decent shots:-

There has been lots of activity in my garden this weekend especially in the pond where the frogs are having a right old orgy.
