ANORAKS AT THE READY

For those of you at the thursday evening talk at SBBO last night, who remembers the tanker going through the Panama Canal, not many of you I expect, well it just so happens that the very same tanker passed through the English Channel just a few days ago and here it is
STENA FR 81 off Dover 28.8.11
Sorry about the digression, but it was too good a coincidence to pass up.
Today it was Backsand again, where there was nothing out of t`ordinary so leaving Steve Ray to the coffee mug I proceeded to Restharrow. Here there were 3 ruff 4 dunlin and single greenshank green sandpiper wood sandpiper, little ringed plover and last and definitely least was  a little stint which makes the dunlin look huge..
GREENSHANK

RUFF
LITTLE STINT

LITTLE STINT smaller even than LITTLE RINGED PLOVER

LITTLE STINT, L.R.PLOVER AND DUNLINx4
A  good variety of waders in a small area, seen by a good variety of birders whilst I was there too.
