RINGED PLOVER
On the return walk the shore larks were found on the beach and the dartford warbler showed briefly in the sea buckthorn, just popping up for a second to allow a dodgy record shot.
After a refreshing mug of coffee at the obs I decided to go the extra mile and walk to Roaring Gutter on Worth Marshes where there were more wigeon teal and mallard plus a few gadwall, but the big prize was the great white egret near the bridge,it was grounded at first but soon took flight and headed to the far side of the railway.
A very good days birding with a total of 58 species seen.
A good days birding, some good shots as well there.
ReplyDeleteWell done Phil, I have walked to Roaring Gutter twice now and not seen the GWE, so well done indeed
