OCTOBER 2021

 A very wet start to the month with nearly 75mm of rain in the first few days meant a slow start to the birding month, however the weather for the remainder was pretty good with a fair amount of sunshine,the first frosts and the odd gale or two.

-A group of 12 were spread out feeding,this one came a bit closer to the sea wall.

A covey of GREY PARTRIDGES  in the fields south of the Chequers on the Ancient Highway
at least 15 were counted.

Mark Kennett found this very confiding SNOW BUNTING at FAN BAY on Friday.
and despite a blustery showery night and morning it was still there on Saturday.
