BACK IN BA JUST FOR A DAY.

This is the final chapter in this month long saga,it will be short sweet and slightly different.
Some went off for more birding,we went for a walk around town to see some of the sights.
Our first objective was to find the tomb of Eva Peron in the famous cemetry.
Here are some of the highlights of our stroll around town.

We eventually found the RECOLETA CEMETERY it is similar to Highgate in London with many grandiose tombs of long gone Argentinians.

Having found our way back to the hotel it was soon time to move closer to the airport for the night,
The Holiday Inn was a few miles from the International airport and there were a few interesting birds here.

RETURN TO TIERRA DEL FUEGO.

After 20 days at sea it was good to get back on dry land,although the hotel floor did seem a bit unstable for a while.The Hotel Tolkien sits on the shore of the Beagle Channel and a few of the party had been here five years ago,nothing had changed.We were soon out on the beach looking for new birds.
 USHUAIA still claiming to be the capital of the Falklands
 AUSTRAL NEGRITO very similar in habits to our Black Redstart.

The next morning we were to have a guided tour with Marcello into the National Park, it started off with reasonably calm overcast conditions which deteriorated into a steady downpour after about an hour we continued doggedly for a while but once we were all soaked  we returned to the hotel to dry out. After lunch conditions had improved and we went to the refuse tip once again.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped off at the worlds most southerly railway.

I am having trouble getting an accurate ID on these two,so I will give them apt English names myself,the above will be the BEAGLE GREY

This appears to be a different butterfly or is it male and female? and this will be the BEAGLE WHITE.

That's our time in Tierra Del Fuego up,we have an extra day in Buenos Aires as our flight has been put back by 24 hours,that I promise will be short and sweet and the last for this marathon holiday.
