THE ANDAMAN ISLANDS

Laying about 250 km off the coast of Myanmar{Burma} in the Bay of Bengal the Andaman Islands are part of India. In 2004 the Tsunami claimed at least 2000 lives and many homeless.
We arrived mid afternoon and were met by our new guide and driver and taken to our accommodation WILD GRASS about 25 km from Port Blair the capital. On the way we got to the coast our first sight of the sea on the trip,we soon stopped to look at the Collared Kingfisher, and Pacific Reef Egret.
